Calendar cars
The Sumpter Township Police Department was selected to appear in the upcoming 2027 Ford Motor Co. annual Police Vehicle Calendar, an annual publication the automaker publishes to promote law enforcement. Sumpter police officials were required to submit a photo by a very short deadline for inclusion in the national calendar. Officials said the invitation to participate was an honor since only 12 departments across the country are offered the opportunity annually. Gabby Tilley of Miles Laura Photography LLC in Carleton came to the rescue and captured the photo for inclusion on the nationally distributed calendar. The photo was taken at the entrance to the Metropark at Bemis/Savage roads, just past the booth, looking east, police official noted.
