Last week, members of the Westland City Council officially recognized the contributions of long-time resident Ken Sharp to the community. Sharp also received official recognition of his civic work from Wayne County Commissioner Glenn Anderson. Sharp’s decades long involvement with the city while working with the fire department, serving on the planning
commission and his untiring volunteer work with several civic organizations including the Westland Goodfellows, the Westland Rotary Club and the Norwayne Community Citizens Councils was celebrated during the regular meeting of the city council members. Sharp’s wife Carol, at right, was on hand to help celebrate the honor.
