New township finance director is selected by Sumpter trustees
Lisa Stanfield has been selected as the new finance director in Sumpter Township.
Members of the board of trustees approved Stanfield’s hiring during their regular meeting Sept. 8. The position had been vacant since early spring, officials said.
Stanfield will be paid an annual base salary of $90,000 along with staff benefits. She will assume her new position, according to township officials, following successful completion of the required background investigation and drug screening.
Stanfield previously served as both deputy clerk and accounting clerk in Ypsilanti Township. She was the Ypsilanti Township representative with the Washtenaw Regional Resource Management Authority in 2019 and has worked as a municipal election clerk, among her other municipal finance experience, according to officials.
