Romulus police captain retires
Romulus Police Department Capt. Roger Salwa has retired from the force after a quarter century of service to the community.
In a prepared statement, a department spokesman said, “Capt. Salwa was a dedicated professional, and someone who was known for his ability to "get things done." There wasn't an area of the department he wasn't in charge of over the course of his career.
“What he will most be remembered for is that whether working the streets or rising through the ranks, he consistently held himself and those he led to the highest standards. He set the example through his work ethic, integrity and commitment.
“We are grateful for his efforts and his contributions to the department and the City of Romulus will have a lasting impact,” the official statement concluded.
