Tywone Sweden, 31, has been charged with 14 felonies, including assault with intent to murder, felonious possession of a weapon and assault with a dangerous weapon in connection to the shooting. Prosecutors allege Sweden shot a 38-year-old man, wounding him in the leg and abdomen during the incident at the mobile home park located on Old Michigan Avenue.
Police discovered the victim at the scene and applied life-saving measures. He was then transported to a nearby hospital by emergency services for treatment of his wounds. His condition was unknown at press time.
Sweden was arrested April 19 and received a $750,000 bond at his court arraignment last week. His next court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow at the 35th District Court.
