Legal Dispute Resolved
The development of a new Meijer store in Plymouth Township is on again after the retailer, developer and township ironed out an agreement. Plans can now move forward to build a 159,000-square-foot store at Five Mile and Beck
Retail giant Meijer and developer Redico LLC were suing as the project had received pushback from residents during a June meeting about issues such as
traffic. Meijer and Redico LLC sued the township in August after the planning commission denied a special land-use request for a store in the township.
The new retail/grocery store is in addition to Nel Hydrogen which will be located on Five Mile in Plymouth Township Construction continues on the Five Mile corridor where hundreds of houses and apartments are now being built on the Northwest corner of Five Mile and Ridge.
