Romulus High School alumni being sought to join new group

Graduates of Romulus High School of all decades are being invited to participate in a newly-organized alumni group.
Romulus High School administrators Floretta McNeil-Marino and Nicole Crockett have launched a campaign to alumni to become more active in events at the school. Their first event is the Alumni/Business Social and Basketball Game set to begin with a networking event at 5 p.m. Feb. 20 in the high school cafeteria.

In addition, they are hoping to enlist alumni in a database so they can organize a communications list to keep in touch with former students at the school. “To my knowledge, this is the biggest push to organize Romulus High School alumni,” noted Dawn Jamison, communications director for the school district.. “The high school administrators want to rally alumni for support and involvement.”
Alumni are urges to come and connect or reconnect with fellow graduates, learn about upcoming programs and evens at the school.
The meet and greet and networking event will begin at 5 p.m. followed by a presentation and suggestions of ways to give back set for 6 p.m.
“Alumni could be serving as mentors, guest speakers and donors for Romulus High School,” Jamison said. “It is very important to reach out to alumni so they know all of the great things going on in our schools.”
The varsity basketball game against River Rouge High School will begin at 7 p.m.
