‘Ghostly’ Revenge on Ridge event set for Oct. 29

Amateur detectives will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills during Revenge on Ridge, a unique Halloween event at Preservation Park in Canton Township.

Canton Leisure Services will present the mysterious event in 45-minute time slots from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29. This who-done-it event will have participants traveling along an outdoor path to learn about Canton's ghostly past as they solve riddles and find clues.

Suitable for ages 7 and older, the event will offer participants a chance to explore a ghostly trail that is approximately one mile long, so 'detectives' should be sure to dress for evening fall weather, bring strollers or wagons for the little ones and flashlights. The family-friendly event takes approximately 45-minutes to complete and is by appointment only.

“We're excited to offer some lighthearted who-done-it Halloween fun at our Revenge of Ridge event,” said Laura Mortier, recreation supervisor.  “This year, families are looking for safe seasonal fun and this self-guided adventure offers a fun twist as participants hunt for clues along this ghostly path.”

Pre-registration is required with a per-person fee of $5 for Canton residents or $6 for non-residents. Groups of six will be dispatched at the same time, so those who would like to attend together should be sure to register on the same receipt.
