Art entries being accepted

Area artists have only until Dec. 27 to enter the Three Cities Art Club Martin Luther King and Black History Month Exhibit at the Gallery at Westland City Hall.
The exhibit will continue from Jan. 10 through Feb. 28 and feature original drawings, painting sand photography. First prize winner will be awarded $200, second prize is $100 and third prize winner will be awarded $50. In addition the winner of Mayor William R. Wild's Wild About Art Award will take home a $100 award.

All artists 18 or older can enter recent works. There is a non-refundable fee of $25 for up to three entries and $5 for each additional entry. All entries must be postmarked by Friday, Dec. 27 with the total entry fee and a signed artist's release from mailed to: Alga Washington, 6855, Dexter, Romulus, MI 48174.
Entries will be juried between 9 and 11 a.m. Jan. 9. Each piece must be labeled on the back with the artist's name, title, selling price and phone number. Photos and CDs can only be returned if a self-addressed, postage paid, appropriate size envelope is provided with the entry.
There will be an award presentation from 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6 with judge's comments at 6 p.m. with refreshments and music at the gallery.   All artwork must be retrieved by Feb. 28.
