Westland has partnered with the radio station and Parkside Credit Union for a shopping spree giveaway event, part of the Westland Shop and Dine campaign and this year will raffle off two $5,000 shopping sprees Saturday at Westland Center.
The event will take place Dec. 14 at the 35000 Warren Road shopping center and Towers will be on site giving away prizes and doing a live broadcast. From 10 a.m.
until noon, team members from the radio station will be distributing raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the two $5,000 shopping sprees. At noon, four raffle tickets will be drawn and those four winners will take turns opening wrapped presents to see who wins. The runner ups will each receive gift cards in the amount of $100.
“The City of Westland has upped the ante again this year,” commented Mayor William R. Wild. “Thanks to our partners at Parkside Credit Union we will be raffling off, not one, but two $5,000 shopping sprees.”
In addition to Parkside Credit Union doubling the prize offerings this year, the financial institution is also providing individuals with an exclusive opportunity to receive a bonus ticket before the event.
Those who visit any Parkside Credit Union location from 9 a.m.
until noon through tomorrow, Dec. 13, will receive an extra ticket to be entered into the final drawing. There is a one-ticket-per-person limit and no purchase is necessary. All that is needed for a second chance ticket is a valid driver's license or state I.D.
and a valid email address. Parkside Credit Union is located in Westland at 1747 South Newburgh Road. There are also offices in Livonia and Dearborn
offering the extra raffle tickets.
“We had an incredible turnout for this event last year and with the addition of the second grand
prize we expect a huge crowd,” commented Westland Economic Development Director Aubrey Berman. “We recommend you get to the Westland Shopping Center early to ensure you get a ticket and then do some holiday shopping while you wait for the drawing.” Doors at the center will open at 7 a.m.
