Area veterans and their families have only until Nov. 15 to register for the 10th Annual Holiday Meals for Wayne-Westland Veterans.
Westland Mayor Michael Londeau, Wayne Mayor John Rhaesa and Wayne Ford Civic League President Vic Barra have organized the event again this year which is open to veterans, surviving spouses, and families of active duty service members.

Registration forms are also available at the Westland City Hall greeter station.Applications must be submitted no later than noon Wednesday, Nov. 15 to receive a complete holiday meal, “compliments of a grateful community,” officials said.Veterans and/or their families can pick up the free meals from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at Wayne Ford Civic League 1645 N. Wayne Road in Westland. Pre-registration for the meals is required.
