Five residents have been reappointed to the volunteer Parks and Recreation Advisory Council in Westland. Members of the advisory council are appointed by the mayor to serve two-year terms.
John Albrecht has been reappointed to the advisory council. He has served on the council since November, 2019.
Also reappointed to the council by Mayor William R. Wild was Jessica West. Her term will expire Dec. 3, 2023. She, too, has served on the council since November, 2019.
Julie Slabaugh was reappointed to the advisory council and her term will expire on Dec. 31, 2023. She has served since first appointed in November of 2019.
Lashon Hart, who has served on the council since May of 2021, was reappointed to a term expiring Dec. 31.2023.
Also reappointed were Chris Galatis and Sheree Conn. Both appointees' terms will expire on Dec. 31, 2023. Galatis has been on the council since June of 2021 and Conn was first appointed in November of 2019.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Council assists and advises the City with various agencies and programs, conducts outreach, enrollment, training, and orientation; development programs and activities, makes recommendations regarding the acquisition, development, and administration of properties with recreational activities.
