The concerts are sponsored by the DDA; the Bank of Ann Arbor; the Plymouth Noon Rotary Club and Hines Park Lincoln.
The line-up this year again includes various area bands and tomorrow, Magic Bus will perform music of the 60s, psychedelic music from the Woodstock era, a time of musical and creative energy that has never been equaled before or since, according to band members.
"If you are too young to remember that magical time, you can now be transported back there instantly with the one and only Magic Bus," band members said. The musicians said their goal was to transcend the modern age and send audiences back to the Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco in 1967.Next week, July 22, Power Play Detroit (Greatest Rock Hits) is set to perform; on July 29--Lady Sunshine & the X Band (Detroit's' own - Emotion, Fire, Pride, and Soul); Aug. 5--Larry Lee and the Back in the Day Band (Funk, R&B, Motown); Aug. 12--Geff Phillips and Friends (Pop & Rock Variety 60s); Aug. 19 Moxie Blitz (80s - Today Pop); Aug. 26--Steve King and the Dittilies (Wayne Newton of Wayne County) and Sept. 2--Atomic Radio (Top 40, Pop Hip-Hop, Rock).
