Families hoping to participate in several pay-to-play activities in the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools district will receive refunds for the fees, according to a district spokesman.
District finance administrators have asked parents not to dispute charges for the fees that may have been paid by credit card, as this complicates the refund process.
Those who paid for extracurricular activities and pay-to-play athletics and clubs along with field trips, community education classes, Kids Time and Club Connection will all receive refunds, according to an email from the district sent to parents.
“Please be assured that the process is ongoing and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we seek to accurately and timely process each refund,” the email stated.
“We also ask during this time that you do not dispute any of these related charges on your credit card bill to allow us a chance to process the refund using our internal methods. Adding a disputed charge claim to the refund process can create an extra challenge with our online payment platform and cause an unnecessary delay and complexity within our records,” the email continued.
