The traditional Northville Community Foundation Holiday Home Tour has returned with a live format this year and tickets for one of the most popular events of the season are still available.
Five private homes, lavishly decorated for the holiday season, will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. Tickets this year are priced at $25 if purchased in advance and $30 if purchased the day of the event.
Each of the selected homes is decorated for the season and each is unique, explained Carol Lehmann, the board administrator at the Northville Community Foundation and Maybury Farm.
Organizers stressed that participation in the tour supports animal care at Maybury Farm, including helping to feed the animals during the winter. The foundation also awards grants to local non-profit groups and scholarships for local students. All funds generated at the home tour are used to support causes of the Maybury Community Foundation.
Advance tickets are now on sale at local Northville stores including Gardenviews and PearAphernalia, at the Northville Chamber of Commerce office or at Design DeJour.
Tickets can also be purchased by phone at (248) 374-0200, ext. 1 or online through Brown Paper Tickets at northvillecommunityfoundation.org.
As usual, the ticket vouchers will be exchanged for a map and description of the display homes at Ward Church, 40000 Six Mile Road, the days of the event.
Tickets can also be purchased at the church the days of the tours, for an additional cost.
