Plymouth Township Police investigators are not the only ones searching for information about the death of a man killed by a hit and run driver last month.

Warren Flagg, 79, was hit and killed Oct. 30 as he raked leaves outside his home on Beck Road in Plymouth Township. According to the Plymouth Township Police Department, preliminary investigation indicated the vehicle that struck and killed Flagg may be a 2007-2010 Pontiac Solstice (unknown color) with damage to the front passenger side.

There is currently a $1,000 reward for information regarding the identity of the driver of the vehicle offered by Sure Conveyors.

Flagg was discovered lying near the road in front of his home at about 7 p.m. by a passing motorist who stopped to help. The unknown motorist then applied a tourniquet to Flagg's severely injured leg and waited for an ambulance. The good Samaritan then drove Flagg's wife, Julia, to the hospital following the ambulance.  Flagg died at 11:11 p.m. that night at the hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

The identity of the individual who stopped and helped is also unknown to Flagg's grieving family. In addition to his wife, Flagg is survived by three children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

“Accidents happen 100 percent. I understand that, but whoever it was, left, it becomes murder, and that's not fair,” said Flagg's daughter Liz Crawford.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Plymouth Township Police Department at (734) 354-3232.
