Members of the Romulus City Council approved three liquor licenses for the eateries, two of which are based in Michigan. They are: the Jolly Pumpkin, Anita's Kitchen, which is based in Royal Oak and Outback Steakhouse.
All will be located in Concourse D.
All three are subsidiaries of Host International, a company based in Bethesda, MD, that operates several hundred restaurants in airports and other large locations throughout the U.S.
The restaurants will open next year, according to Michael Brown, an attorney representing the holding company. Anita's Kitchen will open around Feb. 2, 2020; Jolly Pumpkin should open by the end of March and Outback will open by the end of April.
“Some of the construction build out is already under way, but it'll obviously take some time to get accomplished because of all the other work going on at the airport right now,” he said.
