Wayne Main Street recently announced the winners of the city 2019 Scarecrow Contest during a reception at Derby's Alley. The Facebook winner was Number 43, Taken by the Headless Horseman created by Brooke, Temperance and Verity. The People's Choice winner was Number 22, Charlie's Spongebob, created by the Marshall and Bond Family and the Judge's Choice winner was Number 14, Lily, entered by the Harper family. Each of the winners was awarded a $100 prize. The contest and reception were sponsored by the Wayne Downtown Development Authority, Kurt's Kaps and Dexter Cider Mill. Tomorrow, Nov. 1, will be the last day to take scarecrows down. From 8 - 11 a.m.
