The final Sumpter Township Parks and Recreation Turkey Shoot of the year will take place at noon Oct. 27 at the police firing range. Registration for the event begins at 11:30 a.m.
Only 12, 16 and 20 gauge shotguns are permitted with a maximum 30-inch barrel. No scopes or extended chokes are permitted.
Prizes include turkey, ham, bacon and cash rounds. Ammunition is provided.
The police range is located at the old landfill on West Willow Road between Sumpter and Elwell roads.
