The winner of the Michigan Philharmonic raffle of a cruise of the Pacific Northwest for two will be announced during a concert this Saturday, Aug. 13.
The trip raffle is the largest fundraiser for the Michigan Philharmonic, officials said, and the winner will receive a wine cruise along the Columbia and Snake rivers from Oct. 30 through Nov. 7. The prize includes the nine-day cruise aboard the American Empress and roundtrip airfare for two.
Travelers will experience the serenity of the wilderness in the Pacific Northwest with scenery and waterways leading to wine country, tasting vintages and experiencing the feel of a paddleboat-style cruise ship,officials said.
Tickets for the raffle are $50 each and only 400 will be sold. Tickets can still be purchased, if available, through the Michigan Philharmonic offices located in Plymouth or online at michiganphil.org. The drawing for the winner will take place during the Philharmonic concert at the Eleanor and Edsel Ford Estate this Saturday. The winner will be contacted that day and does not need to be present to win.
