The Philadelphia-based telecommunications giant plans to open the stores by mid-2020 in Brighton, Canton Township, Fort Gratiot, Inkster, Lansing, Roseville, Southfield, Taylor, Westland and Pittsfield Township, according to a news release.
The stores will sell the Xfinity portfolio of products, including internet, video, connected home solutions and the Xfinity Mobile wireless service. They will be outfitted with hands-on displays and seating to create a “warm, welcoming environment” for customers, according to a prepared statement.
The new locations are part of the $5.7 million statewide investment in opening and renovating stores, according to Comcast. The company claims to have made $1 million in upgrades at midtown Detroit buildings and to have spent $1.7 million to open new stores in Grandville and Muskegon.
