Help wanted - Canton Aquatic Center seeking workers

Summit on the Park community recreation center, located at 46000 Summit Parkway in Canton, is now hiring lifeguards and swim instructors. These part-time positions offer flexible hours ideal for students, second job seekers, retirees and others.
"Becoming a lifeguard or swim instructor at Summit on the Park means joining a dynamic, diverse and welcoming team at a great place to work," said Brad Chiasson, Aquatics Specialist. "These are perfect jobs for anyone seeking flexible hours in a fun environment."

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age or older and must possess a current certification in Lifeguard Training, C.P.R. for the Professional Rescuer and Standard First Aid from a nationally-recognized organization or must be enrolled in a certified Lifeguard Training Program.
Individuals who are not currently certified as a lifeguard may enroll in the Summit on the Park lifeguard class at no cost.  The Summit on the Park is offering lifeguard classes Nov. 15-17 and 23-24 (on Fridays from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) at no cost for individuals who are hired as Summit lifeguards. Lifeguards and swim instructors at Summit on the Park have the opportunity to work shifts ranging from three to eight hours.  In addition, morning, daytime, evening and weekend hours are also available. As Canton Township employees, lifeguards and swim instructors are also entitled to free membership at Summit on the Park, which includes use of fitness and recreational facilities, as well as discounts and priority enrollment in a wide variety of classes and events year-round.
