“Once again, the Department of Neighborhood Services team will be out and about in neighborhoods in search of those residents who have gone the extra mile to make their homes shine this holiday season,” commented Mayor William R. Wild.
“We had a lot of great participation from our residents around Halloween and we are excited to see the creativity and festivity around the winter holiday.”Winners will be announced and awarded with prizes at the first council meeting of the New Year on Monday, Jan. 18.
The City of Westland was forced to cancel other holiday events due to the health restrictions of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“In order to maintain the health and safety of our residents and employees, we will transition this year's holiday celebration to a virtual forum,” Wild concluded.
