Westland Finance Department now open for bill payments

The City of Westland Finance Department has reopened to the public for tax and water bill payment services. Finance staff members will be available during normal hours of operation to process in-person payments. 

Other city hall business will be permitted by appointment only. 

This includes the assessing, building, clerk, housing and Westland CARES and planning offices. 

Residents can locate contact information to schedule an appointment with specific departments  www.cityofwestland.com. 

Essential government services that continue unaffected include public safety, utilities, animal control and sanitation (including trash collection). 

The Jefferson Barns Community Vitality Center, the Friendship Senior Center and the Mike Modano Ice Arena remain closed to the public.

The Westland Public Library will remain open with limited capacity and the 18th District Court will remain open. For the most current information and updates on other city closures and postponements, visit www.cityofwestland.com 

Residents are encouraged to utilize the city online services at www.cityofwestland.com during this time as well as the drop boxes located in front of city hall to drop off payments and paperwork which will continue to be checked daily. 

Public meetings, including meetings of the Westland City Council will be conducted virtually, officials said.
