Local dentist will exhibit photos at Northville Art House

An exhibit of photographs by local dentist and world traveler William S. Demray will be on display at the Northville Art House from July 9 through 24.

The exhibit is the premiere exhibition in the Hometown Artist

Series showcasing artists from Northville and neighboring communities. Demray, a family dentist who has lived and worked in downtown Northville for more than 40 years, will share 50 photographs taken on his journeys around the world. 

Demray, a general family dentist at Preservation Dental in downtown Northville, received his bachelor of science degree from Wayne State University and his doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of Detroit. His support for nonprofit organizations, including Northville Art House and the Northville Historical Society, has been recognized throughout the community as well as featured on an episode of a PBS series.

Two years ago, he received the Detroit District Dental Society 2019 Dentist Citizen of the Year award for his outstanding community service and commitment to the health and welfare of his patients and community. In addition, Demray has been recognized as a Top Dentist in HOUR Detroit magazine, Northville Citizen of the Year in 2011, and awarded the Community Enrichment Award by American Association of University Women(Novi/Northville Chapter) in 2012.

Demray is also an accomplished certified private pilot and holds several aviation records, including a national and international record-setting flight honoring the Wright Brothers and the 100th

Anniversary of Flight. He has journeyed to exotic and romantic locations throughout the world experiencing once in a lifetime opportunities always with camera in hand. 

He has a passion for photography and said he is honored to be exhibiting at Northville Art House.

Emotionally Yours opens at the Northville Art House with the launch of the new *Live @ 5* reception from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 9 featuring a gallery talk by Demray at 6:30 pm. 

Tickets cost $35 and include appetizers by Northville Sports Den, two drink vouchers, and live music by world-class jazz musician Vincent York of Vincent York JAZZistry.
